You may not be aware of who BTY is, but you've probably heard, seen, or used Twentyfour, launched in 2007 or BIG, just launched in 2008.
Twentyfour, based around the Gospel of Luke and BIG, based on the first 17 chapters of Genesis, are youth Bible resources that have been put together by the group BTY.
BTY is an initiative of the Bible Society and Scripture Union, and is made up of the state youth representatives including Churches of Christ, Baptist Churches, Uniting Church, Australian Christian Churches, Salvation Army, CRC Churches International and the Lutheran Church. It is also supported by Bible College SA, as well as Schools Ministry Group.
The BTY consortium relies heavily on our development partner HISOWN, who have produced both of these resources. www.hisown.com.au
BTY exists to help South Australian young people engage with the Word of God in effective and meaningful ways. Twentyfour was our first resource and close to 2500 young people have used it. With BIG just launched, we pray that it too can be used to impact the lives of young people and the wider community.
